Micro Fiction Challenge: Duende Results
Some good competition this time around, though I note that few of you used “duende” in its “heightened creativity/inspiration” form; creepy goblins ruled the day.
This one was a tough call. Betty got in there right away and offered a foreign language story. Dacia and Peter made us laugh. Ava showed us a child afraid of the dark, but ready to face it. And Linda gave a nod to the holiday season.
But there can only be one winner, and that winner is … “Billy Shakespeare.” (I put it in quotes because I must assume it’s a pseudonym.) Billy’s story made us laugh, but the addition of the “Oh” is what tipped the scales. Without that “Oh,” we’d be crowning a different winner.
Billy, drop me a line (david[at]writebynight.net) to claim your prize–two free hours of solitude at WriteByNight in which to get your duende on.
