Micro Fiction Challenge: Bluster Results
Our first Micro Fiction Challenge of 2014 brought some interesting and rather violent submissions. Loaded revolvers? Spousal abuse? The boxing of Faulkner’s ears? The busting of balls? This winter needs to end. Like now, before we all kill each other.
This one made for a tough choice, but in the end we had to go with the story that made us titter the most. The winner of a free copy of Shane Jones’ novella Light Boxes is … Jocelyn D! Jocelyn wins for her mixture of humor, wordplay and lyrical cadence in the following piece:
Though she was known to be a ball-buster, for him she did the ball-bluster. “Keep on blusting my balls,” he said. “I dig the breeze.”
Jocelyn, drop us a line here and include your mailing address so we can ship the book off to you. Enjoy!
And tune in next week for the next chance to flex your micro fiction muscles and win some cool prizes.
