Join WriteByNight’s staff literary agent and publishing specialist John Sibley Williams as he shares all the secrets of the most important document an author will ever write: the dreaded marketing plan. Whether you’re self-publishing or going the traditional route, a good marketing plan can be the difference between a successful book and a book readers never discover.

Marketing your book doesn’t have to be as daunting as it sounds. In a few easy steps, John will walk you through the process of organizing and implementing a marketing plan that will have readers rushing to add you to their TBR list!

Join us on May 25 for “Book Marketing Made Simple,” a new seminar hosted by John Sibley Williams, WriteByNight’s staff literary agent and publishing industry specialist.

This seminar is for you if:

    1. You have self-published or plan to self-publish a book or books

    2. You have traditionally published or plan to traditionally publish a book or books

    3. You have engaged or plan to engage a hybrid press to publish a book or books

    4. You want to learn how to better promote your work, whether you’re an author, a journalist, a short fiction writer, a poet, a freelancer, or any other brand of writer

Among the questions John will answer are:

    1) What are the benefits to having a strong marketing plan?

    2) What are the common costs associated with promoting my book?

    3) How can I earn direct income from my book?

    4) What are the most effective ways to promote my book in person? And online?

    5) Do I need a “platform”? Will my publisher help me with marketing and promotion?

    6) How do I set up readings, panel discussions, and other events?

    7) How do I get my book reviewed? How do I arrange interviews?

    8) What kinds of networking opportunities exist for me and how do I take advantage of them?

For writers of both poetry and prose, “Book Marketing Made Simple” will demystify the publishing process and provide you the tools you need to confidently market and promote your book.

There will be plenty of time for your unique questions throughout.
