Are You Writing? Week of 11.27.17
What are your literary goals for this coming week? They can involve writing, editing, reading… whatever you want to accomplish, let us know below for a little bit o’ public accountability.
If you reached the goals you set last week, give yourself a pat on the back. If you didn’t, can you identify what went wrong, and how to get past it this week? Let us know in the comments below.
Also, it’s almost the end of NaNoWriMo! Are you going to finish your novel in time!? I hope you’re not pressuring yourself too much.
Have a great week, and happy writing!
Yes. Same deal of 2500 words/week. I got a lot done over the long Thanksgiving weekend. I’m back to being happy. David, how about you?
Oh yay! Very glad to hear it. “Happy” is our favorite word.
We’re on an out-of-town adventure, so I gave myself a week off. It’s actually been helpful, having some time away. I’ve been thinking about my book, but in sort of a different way. We talked a few weeks ago about hiatuses, and I think this one is giving me some good perspective.
So, my goal for the week is zero words, with my own blessing!
I’m glad you guys are having an adventure. I think taking a break and letting your mind think things through can be a good thing. Did you hear the BBC interview of Dana Gioia, the poet laureate of California? He says that physical movement is an essential part of his writing. He has a studio set up so that he can walk in a circle while working on a poem. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w3cswccy
