These seminars are free and designed to familiarize potential members with WriteByNight’s creative services. The meeting includes a trial workshop during which attendees read and discuss a creative work. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the program, sample the workshop process, get to know the instructors, and pose questions or concerns.

No R.S.V.P. required. Members already registered need not attend the information seminars.

Workshops

For adults, Summer Session I runs late-May through mid-June; Summer Session II runs late-June through mid-July. Workshops meet once a week, 6 – 8:30 p.m. at The Arts Council in Stuart or the Cultural Council of Indian River County in Vero Beach, according to the schedule above. Pre-registration is required.

For children and teens, Summer Group I runs July 12 – 26; Summer Group II runs August 2 – 18. Workshops meet twice per week at the Blake Library in Stuart. Meeting times are as follows:

Children, ages 7 – 9: 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Children, ages 10 – 12: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Teens, ages 13 – 15: 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Pre-registration is required.

Special Events

From time to time, we host “An Evening With WriteByNight,” a special event celebrating the creative achievements of our workshop members. This event features readings from original works by current and former WriteByNight-ers, live music, a high-yield raffle and, of course, plenty of food and drink for all.
