WriteByNight’s workshops have one important mission: to make you the best writer you can be. Through a combination of group discussion, literary analysis and guidance on how to get your work published, we supply you with the tools necessary to write well and succeed in your writerly pursuits.

So, what is a course-style workshop anyway? It’s a community forum in which writers come together to share their work and ideas. Participants submit their own writing and benefit from the written and verbal feedback generously supplied by the group. This intellectual exchange occurs within a structured learning environment modeled after the top creative writing master’s programs.

We welcome writers of all experience levels and we love to read work in any genre. If you have a memoir in progress, a short story to refine, a great idea to get off the ground, or anything in between, we want you. At WriteByNight, your words will be read and your voice heard.

Here’s what you’ll get by signing up for WriteByNight:

  • Hours of valuable feedback on your writing
  • Written comments from your instructors and fellow members on every piece you submit
  • The option to have your manuscripts line edited in professional editorial style
  • The opportunity for a one-on-one consultation with a professional writer
  • Insider’s advice on the how-to’s of publishing
  • A community of writers in which to exchange work, ideas and resources

After WriteByNight, you’ll be able to:

  • Write better
  • Revise with confidence
  • Integrate suggestions and feedback into your work
  • Act as your own editor
  • Identify and articulate craft issues in your own and others’ work
  • Claim pro status in the art of workshopping!
